Share the volunteer experience by joining Friends of The Gardens. Members are offered a rich experience – helping to support and protect the three gardens.
Ways you can join in and help:
- Information booth – come and greet visitors to the Royal Botanic Gardens – you'll receive training and updates
- Catering – provide refreshments for Friends' events & activities – you can prepare or serve food and drinks, and sell raffle tickets
- Works team – help set up for activities, do odd jobs and repairs
- Growing Friends – propagate seeds and cuttings from plants in the three gardens (with permission and horticultural advice from Botanic Gardens Trust staff) – with weekly plant stalls to raise funds
- Promotions – promote membership of the Friends through speaking to garden clubs and other organisations, as well as at Botanic Gardens Trust events
- Friends' events & activities – plan, organise, publicise and work on sales desks for regular activities and special events
- Office work – answer the phone, process memberships and bookings or join in a working bee for mail-outs or packaging cards
